Semi-Auto Capsule Filling Machine: Precision, Efficiency, Compact Design

Overview

Semi-automatic capsule filling machine is suitable for small and medium batches of pharmaceuticals and health products. It integrates multiple tasks (capsule sorting, separation. Filling and sealing of powders, granules and liquids) into an efficient and affordable system. The main design goal of the machine is to reduce the complexity of fully automatic equipment while retaining important functions and improving manual steps, ensuring a good balance between cost and practicality.

Flow Chart

1， Capsule Sowing Mechanism：At this mechanism, the capsule sowing board moves up and down to feed empty capsules to the sowing tube from capsule bin. At the lower right side of the sowing tube is a capsule sowing switch. When the tube moves down, the switch can be opened and a row of capsules are sowed. Then the tube moves up and the rest capsules remain in the tube as the switch closes. The sowed capsules will be pushed and reversed by the capsule pushing fork (the body is outward and the cap inward). Then capsules are pushed by the capsule pressing head and turn vertical. The negative pressure generated by the vacuum pump can suck capsules into the capsule disk. The capsule caps are stopped in the upper die while the capsule bodies are sucked into the lower die. So far, capsule sowing, reversing and separation are all completed.

2， Filling Mechanism

The function of this mechanism is to fill the drug powder into the empty capsules automatically. Frequency regulating motor is installed on the hopper (a meter can display the rotating speed). The motor can drive the propeller to compulsorily fill powder into the capsules. The rotating disk is also driven by the frequency regulating motor to drive the mold to rotate for a circle under the filling head. When the fill start button is pressed, the hopper is pushed towards the mold by the cylinder. As the hopper is at its position, the rotating disk motor and hopper motor start to run automatically. The mold will rotate for a circle and then stop automatically. At the same time, the cylinder drives the hopper to be away from the mold.

3，Automatic Locking Mechanism

After filling, place the capsule disk on the closing pin disk. Press the closing switch or the foot valve (they have the same function) and the mechanism can close the capsule locking cover board, lock capsules (as the upper and lower molds close together), eject and discharge capsules and open the capsule locking cover board automatically.
